Organisation wished to utilise open-source (R) code to develop health economic models to increase transparency and impact, but had little experience in R
Liaised with academic experts to plan a mini-curriculum of courses to familiarise the market access and biostatistics team with R. Developed training modules consisting of both theory and practical exercises covering:
- Introduction to R
- Health economic modelling in R
- Statistical analysis in R
- Addressing bias in RWE studies using R
Positive feedback from attendees, as well as more models being developed in R
Company wished to train the broader Medical Affairs and Market Access teams on the different RWE study types and when to use what type of study design
Reviewed company’s existing RWE studies and interviewed key team members to understand RWE capabilities, as well as product priorities and challenges. Developed a training workshop to empower the team to address product challenges using RWE consisting of:
- RWE terminology and definitions
- Pros and cons of different study designs (cross-sectional vs case control vs cohort and retrospective vs prospective), as well as data sources
- Using the RWE Framework to address product challenges
Excellent feedback from attendees, resulting in additional workshops for different regions and country teams
